Pleasure to Use, Should Last a Long Time

I grew up using a similar clothesline in the South Pacific and have dreamed of having one of my own. After plenty of research, I settled on Breezecatcher for its durable, all metal construction (no plastic bracket where the arms meet the center post). It had so many good reviews from people who have had theirs for years. We get a lot of rain in the East Tennessee mountains so something that can withstand the elements and last a long time was important to me. My husband was able to set it up fairly quickly and it’s been a dream to use. I am 5’4” and can easily adjust the height myself. It holds 4 large loads of laundry (family of 7) with a little room to spare. Whenever we have a rainy day and I can’t hang the clothes outside I’m super bummed. No hesitation recommending this product. The only thing I will say is that the instructions were a little unclear with what to do with a cap-like piece. I thought it was meant to go on the top of the post hole in the ground when you remove your clothesline for inclement weather—as a cap to prevent dirt and debris from getting into your hole while not in use. But it ended up at the bottom of that post to hold the concrete in while it was setting. Has not affected our usage as we haven’t taken down the clothesline yet (we’ve only had it for a few months) but a little more clarity on the instructions would be helpful regarding that piece.

I wish I had purchased this clothes line many years ago

I wish I had purchased this clothes line many years ago. Love how strong and durable it is. Love that it turns for a more even dry to the clothes. Love how you can extant as you mow or other without moving the pole. Love the look of this clothes line. I’m giving it a 10 star.

14 years of not using my dryer

We purchased our breezecatcher in July 2011. It seemed expensive at the time, it probably paid for itself in the first two years. It was one of very few items that came with us on an out-of-state move. I couldn't imagine doing all my kids' laundry without it! We built a heavy wooden base so we can move it around the yard to catch the sun as the seasons/sun angle changes. Just over 14 years later, I came back to this website to see if they had replacement cord as ours is breaking up (they do). The construction is so solid I think it'll keep spinning for a long time. Looking forward to my shiny new cord :)
