Nothing lasts forever, and so many things are designed so that you can't fix them. These parts extend the life of a great clothesline, and that's a great thing. The staff were also very helpful. My only complaint is that the parts are a bit expensive, and if they are a wear item, perhaps they should be included with the initial purchase.
