I figured out today - when the cord broke for the first time - that my Breezecatcher is 17 years old!

It has served my family well for all these years and is much nicer than the other brands I've seen in local stores.

I did stop bringing it in for (Mid-Atlantic) winters some years ago as I had trouble doing the umbrella folding thing as a 5' tall woman. So the cord might have lasted longer than 17 years had I better maintained it.

When I sent a message to the company today, to ask what length of replacement cord I'd need, Tom got back to me shortly after with the answer and replacement cord ordered.

Looking forward to many more years with my Breezecatcher!

Love this clothesline! Easy to install (watch their video) and oddly I love to see it spin in the wind!

This is a sturdy, well-made product. My comments on my first month experience with it:— I had a difficult time getting it up initially. When you put it in a socket (I have one in my deck) you have to push up on the sliding portion but there’s nothing to push against or otherwise resist your upwards force. It needs something near the base so that you can use a foot to hold it in the socket. I anticipate this will be a problem each time I want to fold it up to stow it and clear the space on the deck. If the manufacturer has a suggestion to avoid the problem, I’d like to hear it.
-The plastic-coated wire will doubtless last longer than I will, but it is a tad slick so your clothespins need to get a tight grip.

It works great! Easy install following the instructions. I can hang two loads of laundry on it at one time.

After receiving a phone call from 'Tom' telling me the reason why I could not open the Breezecatcher because the washing cord may have been twisted or caught on one of the branches, I took a look and found that the cords were hooked over the metal branch. After unhooking the cords and making sure that they were not twisted or too tight I proceeded to push the Breezecatcher open. Thanks to Tom's phone call I can now dry my sheets in the outside sun (well clouds now...), and I can wholeheartedly recommend this spinning line now that I can use it!
